LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Levelland ISD advisory committee is meeting at the school district central offices at 11 a.m. to gauge interest in allowing teachers with their CHL to have guns in the classroom.

The committee includes two board members, representatives from each of Levelland ISD's 8 campuses, two resource officers, representatives from the police and sheriff's departments and three parents.

After the first meeting, a survey was sent out to the faculty and staff of Levelland ISD and put online so community members could have their say.
