Visual treasures on display at Downtown Arts Market

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Local talent was on display at the Downtown Arts Market Saturday.

The event was held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Browsers were able to sift through leather goods, sculptures, jewelry and hand made soaps - among other things.

The market has been held for about four years, and it's all about showing off what Lubbock has to offer.

Gallery Manager Larry Simmons said, "Lubbock has always been known for it's music, but the amount of visual talent that is from Lubbock is really one of its treasures."

If you missed out, not to worry, the Downtown Arts Market is held on the second Saturday of each month.

They will also be hosting Farmer's Markets starting in June.
