'Generations' tea party supports Adoption Covenant

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock ladies of all ages gathered Saturday morning for the first annual "Generations" tea fundraiser.

The tea and crumpets were served at the event sponsored by Adoption Covenant.

On the agenda? Catching up with old and new friends, a fashion show, ballet performance and a candy buffet.

The money raised benefited community education, strengthening family programs and special needs adoptions.

Adoption Covenant hopes this will be the first of many "Generations" tea parties.

Executive Director Merinda Condra said, "This is our first annual tea. We're hoping this will become an event that people will look forward to every single year and remember when they were little."

Adoption Covenant also works with mothers who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

Their main mission is placing children in loving homes.
