Prevent Auto Theft With H.E.A.T.

H.E.A.T. stands for Help End Auto Theft. Now you can be an active part of doing just that.

Registering with the H.E.A.T. program means you give any Texas police officer the authority to pull your car over if they see it between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. At that time, they will verify registration to make sure the proper owner is driving the vehicle.

To register, stop by the South Plains Mall parking lot Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Just bring your vehicle, vehicle registration and your Texas drivers license.

If you can't make it Saturday,  you can call 775-1569 to make an appointment.
