Frenship ISD bus accident sends 5 kids to hospital

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

5 local students are being checked out at a hospital after a school bus accident Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:15 p.m., police say a bus was leaving the bus lane at Westwind Elementary, which is part of Frenship ISD. That's when police say the bus rear-ended the car in front of it.

EMS responded to the accident, and as a precaution, 5 students were taken to UMC  to be checked out.

We have been told that their injuries are minor.
