Take a Drive Down Mac Davis Lane

From now on, the portion of 6th street from University to Texas Avenue will be known as Mac Davis Lane. City council members voted on the name change Friday night. On Saturday, they presented Mac Davis with the street sign along with proclaiming July 31st Mac Davis Day in Lubbock.

Davis was in Lubbock for the celebrity golf tournament which benefited the Texas Tech Golf Team.
