200 Lubbock Soldiers Prepare for Deployment

About 200 Lubbock National Guard soldiers are preparing to leave for Iraq. The soldiers are part of the 142nd Infantry Regiment of the Texas National Guard.

On Monday, August 16th at 6pm, a farewell ceremony will be held at the Reserve Training Center at 301 East Regis Street, near the Lubbock International Airport.

The soldiers will deploy first to Fort Hood for training before going to Iraq.
