Funeral for Baby Leah held Wednesday in Slaton - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Funeral services were held Wednesday for baby Leah Marie Aguirre, 2.

Authorities found Leah's body hidden in the basement of her caregiver's home last month in Crosbyton. According to autopsy results, the toddler died from blunt force trauma. Her temporary caregiver, 42-year-old Matilda Almaraz has since been charged with capital murder.

Baby Leah was laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. at the Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.
