Injured paramedics expected to be released from hospital

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Two paramedics were injured when their ambulance flipped on South Loop 289 near the Slide entrance ramp Monday evening.

Just before 7 p.m., police say 41-year-old Kim Pelletier was driving eastbound with 29-year-old Christopher Colpitts riding in the passenger seat. According to police, she hit a patch of ice, lost control and crashed into the lane divider causing the ambulance to topple over on the driver's side.

UMC is reporting that Pelletier and Colpitts are both in satisfactory condition and should be released within the day.
