A Lubbock jury sentenced Armando Sandoval to life in prison for the murder of his common-law wife Christina Moreno. On Friday, the jury found Sandoval guilty of stabbing the 26-year-old to death in March of last year.
After his sentencing, Sandoval apologized to the family. Moreno's father, pleaded with other victims of battered violence to come forward before it's too late. " If there's some women out there that are abused, I think they should come forward, don't' hold back because that's what happened to my daughter," said Albert Moreno.
Sandoval must also pay a $10,000 fine.
