Engraved brick sale to benefit J. I. Allison House

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Civic Lubbock is hoping to raise more funds to complete the J. I. Allison House restoration project. They are holding an engraved brick sale for those who would like to help preserve a piece of Lubbock's musical history.

the J. I. Allison House is the childhood home of Jerry "J. I." Allison of Buddy Holly and the Crickets and is the house where he and Buddy Holly wrote many of their hit songs. It has since been moved to the Buddy Holly Center and is scheduled to open in early spring.

Engraved brick sale forms can be picked up in person at Civic Lubbock, Inc's office inside the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center or at the Buddy Holly Center at 19th and Crickets Avenue or downloaded from www.civiclubbock.com.
