Arrest in Weekend Stabbing

A Lubbock man is in custody tonight charged in connection with a weekend stabbing.

55-year-old Joe Reyes is charged with aggravated assault. The incident happened just before midnight Saturday, outside the Sportsman Bar in the 800 block of North Avenue Q.

25-year-old Leo Sanchez, III was stabbed multiple times in the chest. As of Monday evening, he remained in critical condition at University Medical Center.
