Woman injured in wreck in southwest Lubbock

A woman is recovering after being injured in an early morning accident in southwest Lubbock.

Police say the driver of a Ford Mustang hit a concrete pillar, beneath the overpass at Spur 327 and Frankford Avenue, around 2:45 a.m. Thursday.

EMS took the driver, a woman in her 20's, to the hospital with serious injuries. Her name has not been released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
