LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock fire units were dispatched to a house fire in the 2400 block of 28th Street around 11 p.m. Friday night. When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.

Officials tell us the fire started at the back of the house and no one was home at the time.

Neighbors say they first smelled smoke and noticed that it was coming from across the street. No one answered when they knocked on the door, leading them to believe no one was home.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Video from the scene has been posted to our Facebook page.
