DALLAS, TX (KCBD) -
The Lady Raiders entered the Big 12 Tournament in Dallas, Texas with high expectations. However, the Lady Raiders bid for a Big 12 Championship ended right out of the gate. The Lady Raiders were defeated by the Oklahoma State Cowgirls 59-54.
Kelsi Baker led the way for the Lady Raiders with 17 points. Casey Morris dropped in 13 on Saturday.
The big story for the Lady Raiders was the disappearance of Chynna Brown. Chynna went 0-9 from the field and 0-3 from beyond the arc. Brown only had four points on the day which she hit from the free throw line.
The Lady Raiders will now take a few days off and await their next opponent in the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Raiders will host Round 1 and 2 at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock.
