Ground Breaking Set For Lubbock's First Responders Memorial

On September 11th, a groundbreaking will take place for a First Responders Memorial at Larry Jack Stevens Park at 75th and Slide.

The memorial will reflect the sacrifices made every day by police, firefighters and medics. Funding will come from corporate and individual donations as well as the sale of personalized bricks.

Larry Jack Stevens Park is named after a Lubbock Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty in 1973.
