Home burglar in stolen SUV evades authorities

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m., a homeowner in the area of CR 6500 and Alcove Avenue returned home to find a burglar in the residence, according to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

The burglar fled the area in a Silver GMC SUV. A constable in the area located the suspect vehicle and initiated a pursuit, but the suspect was able to elude authorities.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located near 4th and Frankford. It had been reported stolen out of Hockley County.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
