Drinking coffee and green tea can lower your risk for stroke.
A large study of adults in Japan revealed those who drink at least one cup of coffee a day had a 20 percent lower risk for stroke. Drinking two to three cups of green tea also lowered the risk, but researchers were surprised to find that a combination of the two had the greatest impact.
In other words, one cup of coffee and a couple cups of green tea every day lowered the risk of a certain type of stroke by a third.
The study is published in "Stroke", a journal of the American Heart Association.
