LFD: House fire not the first at abandoned duplex

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Heavy smoke could be seen coming from a duplex in the 1600 block of 23rd Street Monday morning after a fire broke out around 9:15 a.m.    

Fire crews on scene said they didn't know how the blaze began, but they did say the house has been abandoned for the past few years and they have responded to fires there before.

No one was injured in the fire, and investigators are still on scene looking into the cause.
