Congressman Randy Neugebauer picked up some big support Thursday in his bid for re-election in District 19.
The Texas Farm Bureau is putting its political weight behind the Republican Congressman from Lubbock. But as the bureau's president said Thursday, the decision was difficult.
"Our members have supported Charlie Stenholm in every race he's run and we've got into a situation that's not of our making, but its redistricting that got us into this situation, our members have made a decision to be one with Randy Neugebauer and now he's our Congressman," said Kenneth Dierschke, Texas Farm Bureau President.
Ultimately, the farm bureau said it was Neugebauer's strong leadership and his stand on taxes, water and AG issues that made him the group's choice.
