Tapping into Lubbock's economic resources. That was the goal of today's Economic Summit at Texas Tech University Friday.
Lawmakers joined Texas Tech researchers and a number of government officials to discuss West Texas Wind and Water Resources. The mission was to develop Lubbock's wind, energy and water sources to achieve economic growth.
"When you go out and recruit companies to your community you want to make sure you can offer those things to them," says Congressman Randy Neugebauer.
Neugebauer adds that the summit will help position Lubbock as a viable part of the global society.
