If you're a Lady Raider fan, you know they are hosting the first round of the NCAA Women's Tournament this weekend. If you're not a fan, hopefully after this season you will be. And hosting the entire first round here in Lubbock gives them the ultimate home-court advantage.
This makes the 20th time the Lady Raiders have made it to the big tournament and coincidentally, it's the 20th anniversary since they won the National Championship.
Consider this:
Not only is this tournament a big deal for the team and their fans, it's a big deal for all of Lubbock. We will be in the national spotlight playing some very good teams.
And the crowd makes all the difference in these games. So let's tie the new with the old in true Lady Raider tradition and show up this weekend to cheer them on.
The Lady Raiders have made us proud this year so get your tickets and let's make them proud to play in Lubbock.
