PORTLAND, OR (KCBD) -

Former Tech linebacker Marlon Williams has been cast on MTV's 'The Real World: Portland'.

Williams became a standout linebacker in high school who, despite his small stature, became one of the Top 100 Linebackers in Texas. His outstanding athletic and academic ability earned him a full scholarship to Tech. In college, he received Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Conference two times and was Academic All-Big 12 First Team his senior year.

Williams was also known for his musical skills and wrote and performed hip hop music during high school and college. He was briefly signed to an Austin, TX music label and performed under the stage name "Jay Dillinger" as the opening act for a handful of artists such as Slim Thug and Snoop Dogg.

Williams is probably best remembered for an angry tweet toward Mike Leach that led to Leach banning his players from using Twitter and closely monitoring their social media activity.

Williams will debut on 'The Real World: Portland' beginning on Wednesday, March 27th.
