TTU Women's Basketball Player Recovers After Rollover Accident

Texas Tech Lady Raider, Cisti Greenwalt, is improving after a car accident Sunday evening.

The accident happened at about 7:15pm, just outside Anton, near the intersection of US 84 and Farm to Market 597. According to DPS Troopers, Greenwalt swerved to avoid a Ford Pickup that had pulled out in front of her. She then overcorrected and rolled her vehicle. The driver of the pickup fled the scene.

Greenwalt, a 6'5" Center from Clovis, New Mexico, suffered bruising to both lungs. She spent the night in intensive care, and is currently listed in Satisfactory condition at Covenant Medical Center. Right now, the 21-year-old is expected to make a full recovery, and barring any complications, her doctor says she will be able to return to basketball workouts in about a month.
