Lubbock police are searching for Oscar Longoria, 18. Longoria has active warrants for manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with a Feb. 23 accident at 5700 Erskine.

KCBD stopped by Longoria's last known address on Friday but got no response. Neighbors say they saw Longoria at home on Thursday.

KCBD also went to Flores' house to see if his family had any information. The two were friends.

Flores' grandfather and aunt said they were very upset to hear that Longoria is hiding from police. They said they never got an apology from Longoria or his family after the incident.

They said that Longoria was laughing at the hospital when it first happened and he was showing no remorse.

Police have released new details about the wreck that killed 17-year-old Angel Flores and led to the warrants being issued for Longoria.

Accident investigators say Longoria was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of the car in the 5700 block of Erskine.

They say he crossed the center line and struck a utility pole. The impact sliced the vehicle in half. The left half of the vehicle continued westbound and stopped 30 feet from the crash.

Both passengers were thrown from the right half of the car as it was propelled 120 feet before coming to a stop. Flores was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and later died from his injuries.

19-year old Cyrus Jackson was wearing a seatbelt and suffered critical injuries. Longoria was also wearing a seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries.

Longoria is described as a Hispanic male with black hair, and brown eyes, 6'2, 250 lbs.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, police ask that you contact Crime Line at 741-1000.
