Two injured in west Lubbock house fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Two people are in the hospital Tuesday following a morning house fire around 10:30 a.m. at a Lubbock home on the 5300 block of 33rd Street.

Fire officials say residents suffered from smoke inhalation and lacerations from a broken window. One person was trapped inside during the incident and a second person was injured trying to save them. Two dogs died in the fire.

No names have been released, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Fire crews are still on the scene.
