NTSB Releases New Details In August 7th Plane Crash

New details have been released by the National Transportation Safety Board on the plane crash that killed a Lubbock father and son. According to the preliminary report the pilot, Robert Pearson, made no distress signal before his plane crashed outside of Austin, in Burnet County on August 7th. A witness claims to have seen the plane go straight down.

Pearson, who owned Gill Construction here in Lubbock, was certified to fly in favorable weather conditions. Investigators are still trying to decide if the weather or mechanical failure or pilot error played a part in the accident
