Fire crews quickly extinguish vacant apartment fire

Lubbock fire crews are investigating the cause of a vacant apartment fire in northeast Lubbock.

Just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, flames broke out at the Stonehollow Apartments on East Cornell St. near MLK Blvd.

A resident saw and smelled smoke and called 9-1-1. Crews arrived to find a fire in the neighboring apartment which was vacant and quickly put out the fire.

There were no injuries.
