It's estimated that about 1,000 people in West Texas suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. It is a disease that often strikes young adults with weird symptoms ranging from numbness to double vision to paralysis.
This Saturday is MS Family Day, a chance for patients and their families, even extended family to get together just for fun. The event is sponsored by the MS Society and several drug reps who provide MS treatment to this area.
They have secured the Science Spectrum on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. so MS families and friends can walk through the museum, see a show, enjoy a free dinner, and learn about the newest options in treating MS.
A reservation is appreciated, so they'll have enough free T-shirts. Just call 1-800-FIGHT-MS . Then, hit one to skip through the voice recording.
