Lubbock Police seek suspect in overnight stabbing

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock man was hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday night after being stabbed at a friend's home.

Police received a call out to the 2700 block of E. 10th Street. at 11:40 p.m. and found Patric Morris, 40, with stab wounds to his abdomen.  Morris told police that he had been stabbed by a suspect whom he knows that forced entry at the front door while at a friend's home. Officers located a crime scene on the 1500 block of 26th Street.

Morris was taken to the ER where his injuries were determined to be serious but not life threatening. 

A possible suspect has been identified, but no arrest has been made. Police say the investigation ongoing.
