Consider This...One click feeds hungry kids

Posted: Updated:

What if I told you that anyone with a Facebook page can help feed thousands of hungry kids without donating a penny? Well it's true and time is running out.

Most of us take for granted that we have the resources to provide three square meals a day to our children. Well, the reality is, there are thousands of kids on the South Plains that will only eat once a day at school and go hungry in the evenings and the summers.

So how can you help? With just the click of a mouse, you can help the South Plains Food Bank win a $45,000 grant. That money, provided by Walmart, will help start Kids Café sites and Summer Feeding sites. This will feed disadvantaged kids nutritious dinners and meals during the summer.

Consider this:

Once per day, you can go to your Facebook account and vote for the South Plains Food Bank by clicking on this link. Click 'Like' and you are done.

And it means $45,000 toward feeding hungry kids. Don't have a Facebook page? This might be a reason to sign up for one or at least tell your friends that are on Facebook to help vote.

It's a simple act to help fight an all too common tragedy. So please, sign in daily, click 'Like,' and you've done your part.
