Health officials in Wales say they've had 43 cases of measles reported in the last two days, which makes more than 800 cases since November. They're strongly encouraging parents to get their kids protected with the MMR vaccine.
Tommy Garland was one of the victims of the outbreak. His mother didn't have him immunized as a child and his case was severe.
"Having gone through what we've gone through, I personally would have my child vaccinated and I wouldn't put Tom at risk at all of getting measles," said Trisha Garland, Tommy's mother.
It is important, especially for women to get the immunizations. Women who haven't had the measles or rubella vaccine and have an outbreak during pregnancy can miscarry or have a child with birth defects.
