Potential for severe weather postpones South Carolina-Kentucky game

Due to the threat of very severe weather Friday night, the South Carolina-Kentucky baseball game has been postponed.

The series will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Carolina Stadium with a doubleheader. Both games will be nine innings.

Weather reports indicated Friday's storms will include heavy winds up to 20 and 30 miles per hour. With the high potential of severe weather and safety of all in mind, the decision was made to play a doubleheader on Saturday, officials said.

Fans with tickets for Friday night's game will be honored for the first game of the doubleheader.  The stadium will be cleared at the completion of the first game.  Fans with tickets for Saturday's game will be honored for the second game of the doubleheader, which will start approximately 45 minutes at the conclusion of game one.
