Chaps and Pioneers postpone opening game of series

LUBBOCK, Texas  – Score another one for Mother Nature… Lubbock Christian University baseball head coach Nathan Blackwood and Wayland Baptist University baseball head coach Brad Bass have agreed to postpone their opening game Tuesday of a four-game Sooner Athletic Conference series due to the inclement weather.

The teams will now open the series Thursday at 6 p.m. from Hays Field with a nine inning contest. They will then play the second and third game of the series as a doubleheader in Plainview, Texas with a pair of seven inning games beginning at 3 p.m. The final game remains scheduled as is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hays Field for a nine inning contest. Saturday's game will serve as Senior Day and senior members of the Chaps will be honored prior to the game.

All games will be broadcasted online (via and locally in Lubbock on KJAK 92.7 FM.
