Have you ever known a child that relied on school lunches as their only meal? How about a homeless family staying at the Salvation Army?
Ever met a child living at the Children's Home waiting and praying to be adopted?
These are issues in our community that go unnoticed much of the time. But there is one organization in town that sees them everyday: the Lubbock-area United Way is working to address these and the many other needs in our community.
And they can't help the people that desperately need it without the generosity of people who care.
May 5-11 has been designated as the "Week of Caring" by the Lubbock-area United Way.
It's a special push to raise those much needed funds. But you don't have to wait.
You can make a simple donation online right now. Go to unitedway-lubbock.org and make a pledge. It only takes a few minutes and just a few dollars can make a huge difference. Your donation will directly go to the children and families in the Lubbock area that need it the most.
