Texas Tech avoids Oklahoma Sweep with 9-3 win

Texas Tech avoided a series sweep with a 9-3 victory over No. 11 Oklahoma on Sunday, April 28 at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

The Red Raiders improve to 20-24 overall and to 6-12 in Big 12 play... Oklahoma falls to 33-11 overall and to 10-5 in league action.

RHP Dominic Moreno improved to 3-2 on the season. He pitched five innings without allowing an earned run with one strikeout.

Texas Tech had 15 base hits – marking its most on the road this season.

Seven Red Raiders had a multi-hit game, including Devon Conley, Bryant Burleson, Jake Barrios, Eric Gutierrez, Brennan Moore, Mason Randolph and Todd Ritchie.

Texas Tech will start a six-game homestand on Tuesday, April 30, hosting New Mexico for the first of a two-game midweek series at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The Red Raiders and No. 24 ranked Lobos will play at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
