LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Three people are in custody after a SWAT operation in east Lubbock Sunday night.

Police say narcotics officers had been watching a home in the 300 block of Niter Avenue, near East 4th Street and East Loop 289, for some time.

After receiving a search warrant, officers decided to search the home, around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Sgt. Jason Lewis with the Lubbock Police Department said the callout was strictly a precautionary measure.

"They called SWAT in to serve that due to information that the occupants were heavily armed," Lewis said. "So just as a precautionary measure to the public and the officers, we did have the SWAT team come and help serve that warrant."

Police took three people into custody without incident.

James Damon, 23, was arrested for having an active warrant, evading arrest, and for marijuana possession.

Michael Robinson, 29, was arrested for evading arrest and for marijuana possession.

Amy Robinson, 32, was arrested for marijuana possession.
