Lubbock Man Pleads Guilty To Murder - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock man will spend the next 12 years in prison after pleading Guilty to Murder. On Monday, 61-year-old Leroy Ward, negotiated a plea before his jury trial was scheduled to start.

Ward pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his son-in-law, 41-year-old Michael Keith Jones. It happened at a home in the 2100 block of Duke Street, in June of last year.

The two men were thought to be arguing about the discipline of Ward's four grandchildren.
