A teenager is behind bars following a deadly accident in north Lubbock.

Police say 17-year-old Jessica Leigh Traylor ran a red light at 19th Street and Quaker Avenue and hit a motorcycle just after 8 p.m. Monday.

The crash triggered a chain reaction, involving four other vehicles.

The driver of the motorcycle, 47-year-old Liandro Garcia, died at the scene.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to free the occupants of two SUVs involved in the crash.

Storm Murry, 40, suffered serious injuries.

Jane Aland, 45, Phillip Anderson, 46, David Strickland, 22, and Jessica Traylor suffered moderate injuries.

Lauren Wimberley, 23, suffered minor injuries.

Traylor was arrested last month for possession of a dangerous drug and the person she was arrested with received a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.

Officers arrested Traylor for intoxication manslaughter and say additional charges are pending.

Police reopened the intersection around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.
