Suspect at large after bank robbery at 19th & Quaker

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are searching for an armed man who they say robbed a Lubbock National Bank branch at 4420 19th just after 12:45 p.m.

Police say the suspect was covered head to toe in a long-sleeve red shirt with a distinctive gray stripe, tan/light-colored work pants, work boots, black cotton gloves and a ski mask. The suspect is a male 6'1 to 6'2, 170-200 pounds. 

At this time police don't know if the suspect is white, black or Hispanic.

The suspect reportedly showed a gun during the robbery and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both Rush Elementary and Lubbock Christian School were put on lockdown at 2:45 p.m. Students were released normally at the end of the day.
