High school seniors celebrate College Signing Day

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Hundreds of high school seniors gathered at City Bank Auditorium Friday for the Generation Texas College Signing Day.

The event celebrated students signing their commitment letters to colleges. Raider Red and The Masked Rider were on hand to congratulate students as they walked across the stage.

According to Justin Smith, an intern for Generation Texas, event coordinators see this as a way to keep students engaged all the way to graduation.

"One of the things they try to do here is give them a morale boost right before the end of the year."
