MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (AP) - An Amber Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old East Texas girl allegedly abducted from a church parking lot by an obsessed suitor with a knife.

The Department of Public Safety on Monday identified the girl as Ruby Zavala of Mount Pleasant, about 100 miles northeast of Dallas. Police say 23-year-old Jesus Ramirez was known to have been obsessed with the girl.

Ruby was reported missing Sunday afternoon after a man with a knife kidnapped the teen, her sister and her mother from outside a church. The mother and sister were later freed. A vehicle allegedly used in the abduction was found wrecked near Mount Pleasant.

Police Chief Wayne Isbell says investigators don't believe the girl went willingly with Ramirez.

Police and DPS did not immediately provide further details Monday.
