Torres sentenced to 70 years in prison Thursday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Thursday, a jury sentenced 29-year-old Cristobal Torres to 70 years in prison. The day prior, Torres was found guilty of murder after less than an hour of deliberations.

Torres was charged with murder after police say he admitted to firing a gun at an SUV back in November 2011. 16-year-old Joe Louis Martinez, who was riding in the SUV, died later at UMC.
