Prosperity Bank robbed at gunpoint, police searching for suspect

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police say the Prosperity Bank at 114 University was robbed at gunpoint around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police are searching for a male suspect, around 5'7 or 5'8, thin build, about 150 pounds, last seen wearing a camouflage Texas Tech ball cap, black-and white-striped shirt and black pants.

The suspect vehicle is a late '90s model white Tahoe or Suburban with tinted windows.

The suspect showed a semi-automatic handgun and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police later found cash and money rolls outside a 7-11 near the bank.

Anyone with knowledge of this incident is asked to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
