Lubbock police looking for code violations in Sky View, Clayton neighborhoods

The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will be conducting a field exercise in the Sky View and Clayton neighborhoods on Thursday, May 16 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The area is bordered by Interstate 27 and MLK Blvd. and North Loop 289 and Regis.

The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to Junked Vehicles, Nuisance Weeds and Rubbish, Substandard Housing, and Zoning. Code Inspectors will be talking to the public about city ordinances, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise. Solid Waste will provide a roll off dumpster at the field office located at 1112 E Regis Street for the citizens in the defined area to dispose of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.
