WOLFFORTH, TX (KCBD) -

One man was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at the Wolfforth Durham Transportation Services at 84th and Alcove Wednesday.

Police say around 10:30 a.m., an employee at the bus barn was using a torch to cut a barrel that he thought was empty. However, the barrel contained a flammable substance which ignited causing the man to suffer minor injuries.

Both Wolfforth and Frenship ISD Police responded and report that Durham employees were able to get the fire out before firefighters arrived.
