Possible $360 million payoff for Powerball winner

If you play the Powerball jackpot, you might have a chance to win big tonight. The lottery has gone weeks without a winner and has now grown to an estimated $360 million. This makes it the third largest Powerball jackpot and the 7th largest jackpot in history. Lottery officials expect totals of this size to continue to go up in shorter amounts of time, partly because of a game redesign in January 2012.

There was no Powerball jackpot winner last Saturday but more than a dozen tickets won $1 million prizes in 10 states. Tonight's winning numbers will be announced before 10 p.m.
