Cleaning Products May Cause Asthma in Kids

Be careful when you pull out your chemical warfare to clean the house, especially when kids are around. An Australian study finds exposure to common household products may put kids at risk for asthma.

Actually, the problem is bigger than just using cleaning products. After studying the homes of several hundred children, researchers explain in the Journal Thorax that exposure to solvents, paints, cleaning products, even room fresheners may increase the risk of childhood asthma.
