Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

All week we've been focusing on suicide prevention, what to say and how to get help for people at risk.

On Friday, Karin sat down with Beth Glass, a representative from NAMI, which stands for the National Alliance of Mental Illness, and Annette Gary from STARCARE, formerly known as MHMR.

NAMI hosts a support group every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church at 60th and Avenue U. Call 783-9268 for more information.

STARCARE offers immediate support for a five-county area in and around Lubbock, including Lubbock, Lynn, Cochran, Hale, Hockley.

You can call them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 740-1414.

If you need help, or if you know a person who is considering suicide, here are some more numbers you can call:

QPR - (806) 392-1886

Contact Lubbock - (806) 765-8393
