Panthers' WR corps healthy and stacked

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Panther quarterback Cecil Lester is probably licking his chops for Saturday night's game against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks.

The veteran signal caller is not only facing the PIFL's worst pass defense, but he has a plethora of weapons at wide receiver to use.

Clenton Rafe returns from a foot injury this week, while the surprising play of rookie Johnny Lester has earned him continued playing time.

Add those two to the already explosive trio of Antwone Savage, John Harris, and Antwontis Cutts, and you get a smile a mile wide from Cecil Lester.

"It's awesome man. All you have to do is get them the ball and just put it in their area and they'll catch it," says Lester. "It's just great to be able to throw to guys and know they'll make the play."

The only real problem is having to find a way to get all five receivers the ball.

But that's a good problem to have says Panthers Head Coach Lucious Davis.

"Instead of me having my four guys, I have five, so I'm going to have to make some decisions on where to play some guys, but it's a good situation to be in," he says.

The Panthers kick off against the Steelhawks Saturday night in Lehigh at 7.
